One of our local greats from right here in Chagrin Falls, Tommy Wiggins has been a self-propelled singer-songwriter making records since 1972, long before new wave, punk, modern rock, My Space or the word INDIE meant ROCK. That’s cool, because it means Tommy has kept his funky, personal brand of creativity going for nearly 40 years, and he keeps getting better and better all the time.
Tommy’s latest digital slab is simply called “10”, which coincidentally is the TENTH recording of his original pop/folk/rock tunes. Nearly all of 10’s dozen catchy songs are recent tunes, making this recording a true slice of Tommy’s current mindset. From the no-holds-barred opening song “No Graduation Day” to his tribute to his dad in “Old Man Sleeping in the Sun”, Tommy continues to set the bar high for just about any standard of music-making there is.
